I've been sick for the last couple of days. I've only been getting out of bed to go to the bathroom and/or press play on something else. I feel like I've watched a months worth of entertainment in just two days. I'm stuffed up and sweaty and gross. I probably shouldn't even be touching this keyboard right now.
Out of everything I watched, this documentary on Wayne White was the best. So before I slip back into today's 'The Mindy Project' marathon —a marathon that I do feel a little weird about* (but not weird enough to stop it)— I thought I would use a small portion of my 'out of bed time' to quickly recommend you go check out the above documentary, 'Beauty Is Embarrassing'.
Not only is it a fun and inspiring film, but the way they've gone about distributing and making things available is quite cool too (you might remember an older post about VHX - well this doc is 'powered by VHX'). So check it out.
And while you're at it, the Dave Grohl doc on Sound City is also being powered by VHX (and is quite a good watch).
* PS - I think the reason I feel weird about doing a 'The Mindy Project' marathon, is that it feels like this should be a show that my girlfriend really likes and that I only watch because I'm her boyfriend (like ANTM, for example). But the reality is: my girlfriend doesn't even like this show (she's not crazy about Mindy Kaling) and I am the only one home and could be watching anything. I guess I just find this show strangely addictive. Or maybe comforting is the right word. Either way, it's happening.
