Booyakasha! Report | Aug + Sep 2014

It's been a long ass time since I put together one of the 'Bandcamp Booyakasha! Reports' (the sun was still shining back when I last did one). The main reason I've fallen so far behind with these posts is that I happened into a beautiful pattern of going on a little vacation at the start of each of the last few months, and the start of the month was when I usually would put these posts together (and maybe you can add in a little pinch of laziness / distracted by other things). And before I knew it, I had a booyakasha build-up of over four months.

Well, over the weekend I went through that overflowing email bucket and fished out every ‘Booyakasha!’ I could find from August until now. There were too many to put into one post, so I've broken things down into two reports: August & September is today; October & November will go up tomorrow.

And while I was going through my backlog of emails, I also found this lovely and slightly related email:

Hi there,
I just had to email ...... I stumbled upon you on bandcamp and that led me here and I wanted to tell you that your bandcamp collection is like going to an online record store where EVERY SINGLE RECORD IS FABULOUS. Seriously.....
EVERY.....
SINGLE...
ONE!!!!
I am just going to visit it every few weeks and buy! ”

And on that self-congratulatory note, here all the albums that had the 'booyakashas!' coming in August and September…

Four Booyakashas! Each From…

Two Booyakashas! Each From…

One Booyakasha! Each From…

If you'd like to help keep the Booyakasha's coming, you can peruse my Bandcamp collection and find something to add to your own. If for some reason you don't already, now'd be a good time to get your own Bandcamp fan account (which is as simple as just buying some music… and then you can feel the joy of receiving your own Booyakashas!) and then make sure to follow HI54LOFI's fan account, as that way you'll get notified of my new purchases via email and in your Music Feed.

Of course, if you don't like the music I like, then don't follow me… but do still get a Bandcamp Fan account going and then just find people with ear drums that beat closer to your own and follow them.

And remember: every time a Booyakasha rings, an artist gets some bling. Everybody wins.
