Ever since EardrumsPop announced last year that they would be doing another Between Two Waves collaborative compilation (if you missed the first wave, go fix that now), I've been really looking forward to the day that they dropped a bucket full of brand new indie pop sweetness on the web. Well, today is the day that they dropped the first bucket (aka Volume A - with B & C coming in the next 2 weeks).
The whole thing is available for free and is chock full of a bunch of great bands combining their talents to create a bunch of new one-off bands (although, the past running of this brilliant idea saw some collaborators continuing to work together and spawning new bands / side projects that exist to this day). Volume A contains 10 tracks (so 20 artists collaborating together) and it is as pleasant on the ears as I expected.
I've posted my current, first run through the tracks, favourite tune above, but you can listen to the whole thing and download it for free over on EardrumsPop… so, go do that, yeah? And then make sure you make note to check back there next week and the week after for the remaining two volumes.
