If, for some inexplicable reason, Dr. Dog were ever put on trial for not being an awesome band, this live album would be the only piece of evidence their lawyer would need to put in one of those little plastic baggies that pieces of evidence get put in. “Has everyone in the jury listened to Exhibit A? Well then, I rest my case.”. If, for some equally inexplicable reason, you ever get put on trial for not being an awesome person, you should probably go get this album so you have some irrefutable evidence for your defence.
When something from Orchid Tapes pops up on your Bandcamp music feed, you don't really need to think too hard about adding it to your collection. You know the music is going to be excellent and you can always snag the digital version for whatever price you fancy, so the only brain power required is the hand-eye coordination involved in moving the mouse arrow over to the 'Buy Now' link. You should pop over to their Bandcamp page and give it a go.
As a big fan of everything Wilco, when I first heard about this album way back in 2014, it was always on the top of my ‘You Need To Check This Out’ list. But since I stopped using Spotify (and the like) a long time ago, it wasn't until I came across Sukierae on Bandcamp that I actually got a chance to finally cross this album off that list. So now I can finally stop assuming that I'd really like this album and get on with actually really liking this album, which is a much better place to be.
Alright, that's it from me for today. If you made it down here without pushing play or clicking on any of the things above, you should probably head back up and correct that. Maybe even buy the artists a metaphorical pint if you like what you hear. And while we're listing things you should do if you haven't already, you should also probably go listen to the episode that these tracks feature on. And then I'll be back to talk about the other songs from this episode that I haven't already talked about. Yeah? Yeah.
