Four From My Bandcamp Collection - 17

Today is not only the first time these '4 From My Bandcamp Collection' posts lands on a Friday instead of a Saturday… but it will also be the last day of my '1 blog post a day' streak, which now comes to an end at 117 straight days (take that Joe DiMaggio!). If you ignore a couple missed days at the start of January, the streak actually was in the 120's, which means I've posted everyday for 1/3 of a year. Which doesn't really mean anything. Just thought I'd share that info in case any one reading this likes insignificant stats.

Anyway, besides that day of posting being changed, everything else about this feature remains: I pop over to my Bandcamp Collection and select 4 gems that I haven't featured in this weekly post… and then hopefully you listen to them and go “nice… I think I'll add this to my collection as well”. Everybody wins. Or maybe nobody wins. I don't know, but these albums are all really great.

Was doubly awesome to see that this album & Fat Possum Records are now on Bandcamp. Favorite track: Funeral Beds.

Hollie has the kind of voice that just stops you right in your tracks. This EP —just like everything else I've ever heard from her— is simply magic. Favorite track: North Of Greytown.

The songs of Hank Williams, filtered through a ‘DIY-Bedroom-Musician’ filter? Yes please. Favorite track: Fog Lake - I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry.

It's a really great collection of chilled out, easy on the ear tunes. What's not to like about that? Favorite track: Foggy.

Well, that was that. Remember come back next Friday for the exciting continuation of this weekly feature (or you can check out / follow my Bandcamp Collection and stay one step ahead of these posts, if that's your bag).
