First of all, let me just say that today's post started off completely different. I had spent over an hour writing and tweaking my bad writing, until I had a pretty long post that was ready for me to press save, take a break and come back later to fine tune & finish. But I only got as far as the 'press save' step, and then I got an error. I don't remember what the error said, but in layman terms it basically said “So you thought you had a blog post almost done eh? Well… somebody should have copied all the text before pressing save [insert evil robot laugh]”.
Anyway, I didn't have the patience to attempt writing it again. So instead, I decided to play around with Minilogs, which is a service I've been curious about using for awhile now. In theory, it's a lot like Songdrop, but it looked different enough for me to want to see if it could do something I wasn't able to do with Songdrop: make a really big ass playlist that lets me embed the entire list.
And wouldn't you know it, Minilogs lets me do that. So…
Now, at the moment, this 'Bandcamp Radio' player just features 1 track from each of the gems in my Bandcamp Collection… but that does equal 205 tracks, so that's not too shabby of a start. Over the next little while, I'll probably set up a Minilog that is just for my Bandcamp Collection (i.e. so it is possible to listen to my collection more like a radio station) & then I will also keep adding to this 'station' as much great Bandcamp available music that I have found / will find / can fit in one playlist (another thing it seems to do better than Songdrop is create a better link straight back to the artists Bandcamp page).
But for now, just press play on this one (or, if you listen over on Minilogs, you can put the playlist on shuffle). And maybe one day I'll try re-writing that blog post I had aborted on me today.
