I really should have added the ‘Mix Tape Radio On Folk Radio UK’ show as an iTunes Podcast a long time ago, but to be honest, I wasn't really sure if I could. I've never been able to find a clear answer as to what the rules are when your 'podcast' is not you talking in your garage, but rather just a bunch of songs you really like, mixed together in a pleasing order. I would find other 'radio shows' being available as a podcast and think I was more or less doing the same thing, but I was never really sure.
Eventually, after all I could really find was something that basically said "you can submit your podcast to iTunes and then someone will check it out and if all is well, the podcast will be added to the iTunes Podcast directory". So I submitted the first episode of Mix Tape Radio a little while ago, and lo and behold, Mix Tape Radio is now in the Podcast directory.
I have not put up all of the past episodes yet (as any dedicated listener —aka 'mom'— will know, there have been 11 episodes so far), but I will continue adding past episodes throughout the next little while.
For now, the first 4 episodes are already available for you to listen on iTunes. But… an even smarter move would be to click on the 'Subscribe Free' button so that when the other episodes are added, they will be automatically added to your iTunes & iPhones and other iThings.
